Tidy Living Area
The goal of this space is to have a seating area for the whole family that stays mostly tidy and is easy to pick up when it gets messy. The basket behind the chair is perfect for throwing blankets in, so the couch and floor stay blanket free.
One of the baskets in the cabinet under the television holds all things diapers and wipes, for easy access, and the other holds a massive amount of Chatbooks that the boys enjoy looking through.
In the cabinet part there are two cube storage bins. At times the bins have held toys that make their way into the living room. Honestly, they would often get dumped out and create clutter. Now the boys game collection is kept there.
Always be willing to reevaluate where you store certain items, ruling out what doesn’t work until you find the spot that does work.
The colorful candles beneath the giraffe head aren’t actually candles at all, they are rolled up pieces of colored card stock.
The lights above the chairs are made from rope style cord sets and a metal pendant shade wrapped in black card stock. In total, this lighting solution cost around $40, plus the bulbs.
