Cozy Master
For over a year of owning this home, this was the boys room. Unfortunately, there was only one available wall in the room because the other three walls were taken up by a very large closet, a window, and a sliding door. Only having one open wall with two boys in a room was difficult. Eventually, the rooms got switched and the boys got the master bedroom, because there was more room and more walls to put furniture against. While it is incredibly nice to have an en suite bathroom, walking across the hall to the bathroom is worth the improved function it brings to the home.
Don’t set your home up a certain way and leave it just because that’s how it’s traditionally laid out. Always reconsider what you use each space for, especially when a need arises in your home, and do what works best for your family.
The purple sofa was purchased specifically for this space, to create a seating area within the master. It was purchased online for less than $200. While it’s not the most comfortable, it does the job and is comfortable enough.
In the corner is an Arm’s Reach Basinet, a perfect way to fit a little one into a cozier bedroom.
The colorful rug, which served as the inspiration for the purple sofa, was an inexpensive T.J. Maxx find.
