Minimalist Master

Upon moving into the apartment, the master was a mismatched combo of furniture from different spaces. While the space was great and it worked, it was not cohesive.

In an attempt to create a moody space in a beige painted rental, the white duvet cover was swapped out for a dark blue green duvet cover (which clearly doesn’t photograph well, but is great in person.)

The gray, nailhead trimmed headboard was covered with a faux leather vinyl fabric stapled over the old head board and a mattress foam topper cut to size.

The lights above the bed are Ikea’s $15 Skurup Wall Lamp.

The art above the bed is an engineer print using a simple design made on Procreate.

The bedside table is Ikea’s Rast chest that was stained to go with the dark colors and moody vibes.

The white bolster pillow was actually a twenty minute project using the $4 Ikea Sortsö rug, a sewing machine, and a few bags of poly-fil.
