Colorful Guest Bed

This quilt, that was in the closet from a few years back, was the inspiration behind this colorful guest space. The blue pillows were used on the couch at one point, and the geometric pillow has been used in the guest space for years, just used with different bedding combos.

Shopping your house is one of the most affordable ways to achieve a fresh look in a room.

The geometric pillow looked rather basic upon purchase, so a gold paint pen was used to outline some of the shapes and add visual interest.

The wall hanging was made from a stick found in the yard and some DIY pom poms and tassels. This stick is now used in the boys room to hold art work. Before this, it was used over a couch to hang the stockings from in a living room without a fireplace. When you find a stick of this proportion that’s just the right amount of curvy and straight, it’s a good idea to keep it around.
