Bin There… Done That.
A little over a month ago we moved sweet baby girl (who is two now, crazy) into the boys room. That’s right…all four kids in one room. It was kind of out of necessity for the season, but ended up being a great transition. The one thing I had to figure out was what to do with the boy’s toys. I needed all of the 8 cubes to be clothing only, so they each could have two bins each. But, that meant I needed to clean out some that had toys in them. Also, their room would get reallyyyy cluttery, really fast, and it was hard to find certain toys. Enter the Sockerbit Storage Box from Ikea.
The kids have two sets of bunkbeds in their room, so I measured to see how many of those I could fit under each bed and I could fit three!! So exciting! So we purchased 6 of those storage bins.
Here’s what I love about them:
The room looks super tidy and streamlined when they’re all pushed under the beds.
They don’t have to be pulled all the way out to lift the lids.
There’s loads of room in them and plenty of clearance between the top of the lid and the bottom of the bed.
They have little notches on the sides of the lid that help the lids lock into place.
We were able to organize their toys really efficiently, and even had an extra bin leftover for seasonal clothes that we didn’t want in their clothes bins. And their room is much, much easier to pick up, since everything has a home! (The extra dividers in the bin pictured are also from Ikea and they help keep the small things neat and tidy.)
All in all, I’d definitely buy them again and would 100% recommend these to you if you have under the bed space and need some more storage!
